Friday 20 Feb — Arrival & First Evening

  • Morning/afternoon: Depart to Barkly East (meeting point — see convoy plan)
  • Barkly East: Fuel up at Malta Energy (cnr Cole & Graham Streets) — fill up completely before the final drive to Rhodes (times confirmed as bookings come in)
  • Midday/early afternoon: Arrival in Rhodes — check in & unwind
  • 🏨 Hotel guests: Friday dinner included at Rhodes Hotel
  • ⛺ Campers: Own arrangement — or book extra at the hotel (please let us know in advance)

Saturday 21 Feb — The Big Day

  • Morning: Breakfast at Rhodes Hotel (all participants included)
  • Late morning: Stoepsitfees — explore the village, market, live music
  • 14:00: Optional drive — Tenahead Mountain Lodge & Naudésnekpas (open to all participants)
    • Highest commercial lodge in South Africa
    • Naudésnekpas — highest mountain pass in South Africa
    • Coffee or cold beer with breathtaking views ☕🍺
    • Those who prefer to stay — Stoepsitfees continues in the village
  • ±17:30: Return to hotel
  • Evening: Spit braai at Rhodes Hotel (all participants included)

Sunday 22 Feb — Last Morning & Homeward Bound

  • 🏨 Hotel guests: Sunday breakfast included
  • ⛺ Campers: Own arrangement — or book extra at the hotel (please let us know in advance)
  • Late morning: Last bit of Stoepsitfees & farewells
  • Midday: Head home — safe travels!

🚙 Convoy Plan

Meeting Point: Barkly East (main route from all directions)

  • ⛽ Malta Energy — corner of Cole & Graham Streets, Barkly East
  • Fill up completely here — there is only a small fuel station in Rhodes
  • Times will be confirmed once we know who is coming from where
  • WhatsApp groups will be created per route direction

Options:

  1. Meeting point — Meet at Malta Energy in Barkly East, convoy together to Rhodes (recommended)
  2. Route groups — North/West/East — each group with a designated leader
  3. Individual — Drive in your own time, meet directly in Rhodes
