Uit Die Dop — Lizaan Bradfield, Bradfield Family Farm

In 2014, the first pecan trees were planted on Bradfield Family Farm. As the years passed, the trees slowly began to bear fruit. With great excitement, every harvest was picked, the nuts shelled, and enjoyed with family and friends.

As the trees produced more, an interesting challenge arose: the harvest was too large for personal use, but still too small for commercial supply. It was then that the idea was born to process their pecans into value-added products — and from the very first day, the pecan tarts were a huge success.

Over time, circumstances changed and the product range gradually came to a halt. But one thing never changed: people kept asking, "When are you making the tarts again?"

Then, at a farmers' day in September 2025, someone asked that same question once more. After hearing the reasons, he simply replied: "Just do it." Those two words sparked something — and right there, Uit Die Dop was born.

Today, "Just do it" remains the words that motivate Lizaan to dream bigger, think more creatively, and seize new opportunities. Because you never know what's possible until you take the first step.
