Raapfontein Gasteplaas

Raapfontein is a peaceful Karoo farm stay and camping destination near Hanover in the Northern Cape, perfectly situated 15 km from the N1 with a tar road to the farm turn-off. It is an easy halfway stop between Cape Town and Johannesburg, with wide-open skies, genuine farm hospitality and a quiet place to rest.

Availability changes daily. All bookings are handled through Gateway to the Karoo. Contact us first and we will confirm availability with Raapfontein.

Season: 9 December to 17 January. All other dates are out of season.

Self-catering unit
Two-bedroom unit accommodating up to 8 guests, with a well-equipped self-catering kitchen and large undercover braai area.
Out of season: R2 000 per night
In season, 9 December–17 January: R3 000 per night

Merino Cottage
Bachelor-flat-style cottage with a king-size bed, small kitchenette, private braai area and beautiful Karoo sunset views.
Out of season: R1 050 per night
In season, 9 December–17 January: R1 650 per night

Saffier self-catering caravan
A beautifully decorated little caravan with the comforts of self-catering accommodation and breathtaking Karoo views.
Out of season: R880 per night
In season, 9 December–17 January: R1 320 per night

Campsite
Lush green grass under big trees, with ablutions, flush toilets, gas-geyser showers, a washing-up area and Eskom power points.
Out of season: R180 per person per night
In season, 9 December–17 January: R260 per person per night

Good to know

• Some units accept pets by prior arrangement.
• A fee of R50 is payable per pet, and house rules apply.
• All bookings require a 50% deposit.
• Out of season: the deposit is refundable if cancellation is made more than 24 hours before arrival. The deposit is forfeited for cancellations within 24 hours of arrival.
• In season, 9 December–17 January: cancellation is free and the deposit is refundable if cancelled on or before 48 hours before arrival. After that, the deposit is forfeited.
• Meals and firewood are available on request.

Raapfontein is 'n rustige Karoo-plaasverblyf en kampeerbestemming naby Hanover in die Noord-Kaap, net 15 km van die N1 af met 'n teerpad tot by die plaas se afdraai. Dit is ideaal vir families, karavaanreisigers en oorlandreisigers.

Beskikbaarheid verander daagliks. Alle navrae en besprekings kom deur Gateway to the Karoo. Kontak ons eers; ons bevestig dan beskikbaarheid met Raapfontein.

Seisoen: 9 Desember tot 17 Januarie. Alle ander datums is buiteseisoen.

Selfsorg-eenheid: R2 000 per nag buiteseisoen / R3 000 per nag in seisoen.

Merino Cottage: R1 050 per nag buiteseisoen / R1 650 per nag in seisoen.

Saffier-selfsorgkaravaan: R880 per nag buiteseisoen / R1 320 per nag in seisoen.

Kampeerplek: R180 per persoon per nag buiteseisoen / R260 per persoon per nag in seisoen.

Alle besprekings vereis 'n 50%-deposito.

• Buiteseisoen: die deposito is terugbetaalbaar indien daar meer as 24 uur voor aankoms gekanselleer word. Die deposito word verbeur indien daar binne 24 uur voor aankoms gekanselleer word.
• In seisoen, 9 Desember–17 Januarie: kansellasie is gratis en die deposito is terugbetaalbaar indien daar op of voor 48 uur voor aankoms gekanselleer word. Daarna word die deposito verbeur.

Sommige eenhede aanvaar troeteldiere met voorafreëling teen R50 per troeteldier. Etes en vuurmaakhout is op aanvraag beskikbaar.

Die plaasdam is beskikbaar vir gaste om gedurende die piekseisoen, van 9 Desember tot 17 Januarie, te swem.

Raapfontein se sterre, egte plaaservaring, oase-kampterrein, familie-vriendelike eenhede en plaasdam maak dit 'n besondere rusplek in die Karoo.
